Fresh Picks: Toolboxes and Tea Towels
Utilitarian pieces are some of my favorite things to collect. I love it how vintage things that were made for hard work--like toolboxes and tea towels--still managed to have so much charm and beauty. These days, handmade toolboxes are being re-purposed as cutlery or condiment caddies, plant and flower containers, art supply organizers...you name it. Vintage linen tea towels make thoughtful hostess gifts when tucked into a basket of pretty cleaning supplies. Use them to wrap gifts in the Japanese Furoshiki style. Some are so beautiful you could frame them or stretch them over a canvas for wall art. I'm looking forward to sharing these hardworking finds with you!
